The Club season is over, but Baseball rolls on over autumn and winter with a number of our players still having Auckland regional and New Zealand Nation duties. We have our Prize Giving this Saturday at the Glendowie Bowling Club (GBC), 29th with the doors opening at 5pm and awards starting at 5.30pm with family style bring a plate and big thanks to SALs Pizza who will be suppling Pizza for our event, Bar will be open also. In other news we have also signed up a permanent training facility at the GBC and this will become the Bayside High-Performance Centre (BHPC). The goal behind this is to invest in our players and give them the training needed to play the game of Baseball at the next level. The facility is a blank canvas now, but it will be open to all level of players, and we hope to play Tball and other ball game there over the winter and spring. We are fund rising now so please stay tunned as the club may need your help at some point. There is a working bee at the BHPC this Saturday morning starting at 9am to tidy up the grounds and install the back stops. If you can make it, please bring some general gardening equipment. Address 25 Chelmsford Avenue. The Team photos are also ready and will be at prize giving along with end of season supporters gear sale.
