Our Home at Crossfield Reserve

Bayside Baseball Club is lucky to have its home at Crossfield Reserve in Glendowie. It presently has the largest amount of simultaneous baseball capacity of any club in Auckland, with two junior diamonds and two adult diamonds that can all run in parallel. It has been extensively sanded by Auckland Council over many years to become one of the best draining grounds in Auckland.

This gives us an envious ability to run most of our practices on the same evenings allowing for a real buzz and community atmosphere as players from as young as 7 practice at the same time as our Premier League team and everything in between.

CF1 or “Crossfield 1” is our main adult diamond with clay cutouts and clay mound with a home run fence

CF2 or “Crossfield 2” is our main junior diamond with clay cutouts and clay mound with a home run fence (the only junior ground in Auckland with a regulation home run fence!). CF2 also has dual pitching rubber lengths at 50ft and 46ft catering to 10U, 12U and 13U.

CF3 or “Crossfield 3” is our smaller junior diamond used for T-Ball and our 10U teams. The backstop is removed in winter for soccer.

CF4 or “Crossfield 4” is our second adult diamond with a drop-in mound and a home run fence. The backstop and pitching mound is removed in winter for soccer. The mound has dual length 54ft and 60ft for 14U and full size diamond play and is also paired with dual 80ft and 90ft basepaths.
