The Under 13's were awesome in their narrow loss to Howick 8-7 in extra innings. The players should be very proud of their efforts over the tournament and to finish second in a competition of 8 teams is a great effort. The Under 15's were dominant throughout the tournament and won the final against Howick 12-3. Congratulations to them and to Jimmy Boyce for cleaning up the individual awards by winning the pitcher, batter and MVP Awards. The Under 18's won what has been described as the most exciting final for years, winning by 1 run in extra innings with a squeeze play by Max Key to bring home Sam Clerk, after the teams were locked up 15 all after regulation play. Well done to Jack Malcolm for throwing millions of pitches and taking out the individual pitchers award and Scott Drinkwater for winning the MVP Award. The club is very proud of this effort and is proud of everything achieved over the weekend of the Nationals. Thanks to all the coaches and players and of course the supporters, great effort!!
